In the wake of recent terror attacks in the nation, attention has been refocused on the inadequacies in India’s security arrangements and the dire need to safeguard our people and our infrastructure from external threat. Pressing reform measures are required to upgrade our technology, equipment and training facilities. Our naval / aviation and rail infrastructure needs to be protected with effective security structures. The key lies in formulating a comprehensive and integrated approach to security involving policy makers; security agencies; airport / rail / port authorities; infrastructure developers; and technology & solutions providers. In light of today’s security crisis, it is imperative that all stakeholders come together to identify the main threats and chalk out a roadmap to implement effective systems for national security.
