Talaat Rahman is a career civil servant currently serving as the Regional Director for Asia and the Middle East in the Trade Finance and Insurance Division of the Export Import Bank of the United States. She came to the Bank in 1998 from the U.S. Trade and Development Agency where she was a Country Manager for the Asia region. Previously, Ms. Rahman was a Program Officer in the International Division of the U.S Chamber of Commerce and an Analyst with the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association in Washington DC.

Ms. Rahman holds a Master of Science degree from the Edmund E. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. She also has an MA in Anthropology from the University of Manitoba. Her undergraduate degree is in economics.
