Umesh Upadhyay is a Director with the Rockland Group. Rockland, a Delhi- based group having interests in healthcare, hotels, media and education, operates a multi-specialty hospital in South Delhi called Rockland Hospital. It is building multi specialty hospitals in Manesar, Dwarka and Greater Noida. The group will soon be launching an integrated media platform.

Umesh Upadhyay, by profession, is a Journalist, Television Anchor & Radio commentator. He has more than twenty years experience in print and electronic Media. He has been associated with the Press Trust of India (PTI), BBC, Doordarshan, Zee News, SAB TV, Home TV, Janmat, and All India Radio.

Academically, he has done his Masters and MPhil in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). He taught in Delhi University at the beginning of his career. He has done professional TV courses from FTII, Pune, Asian Institute for Broadcasting Development (Kula Lumpur), BSky B (London), Thames Studios (UK), and CPC, Delhi, among others.
