Daljit Singh is the President-Strategy & Organisational Development of Fortis Healthcare Limited (FHL). He has over three decades of rich management experience, with a proven track record of turning around and growing diverse businesses through people leadership, innovation and operational excellence.

Prior to his current role, Mr Singh was the Chief Executive Officer of Fortis Healthcare Ltd until 30 November 2006. In that capacity he led a team of over three thousand professionals whilst managing the growth and operations of India’s fastest growing healthcare delivery organisation. In this role, an eminent and vibrant team of clinicians and experienced managers supported him ably.

Prior to joining FHL, Mr. Singh was the Director in charge of Human Resources, Manufacturing, External Relations and Communications with ICI India Limited. During his 28-year innings with the Indian subsidiary of the British Multinational, Mr. Singh held several senior management positions, including profit center responsibilities for Pharmaceuticals, Specialities and Catalyst businesses, and as a member of the Board of Directors of ICI India. He was member of the ICI Global Manufacturing Group, SSHE Excellence Group and the Global HR Forum. His key experience and achievements have been in the areas of developing progressive HR strategies and ensuring their implementation, organizational restructuring, building a high performance culture, and leading teams to deliver business value.

A gold medallist from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, Mr. Singh was a Commonwealth scholar to the Senior Management Programme at the Manchester Business School in 1995. With an outstanding track record in the field of athletics, his current interests include athletics, high altitude trekking, music and reading.
