Dr. Anita Arora is presently working as Department Head, Senior Consultant Microbiologist and Quality Head at Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre, New Delhi. In this capacity, she supervises laboratory staff responsible for the identification and sensitivity of microorganisms, analyzing data of nosocomial origin. In her clinical capacity, she takes daily rounds with the Intensive Care team, and is available as a consultant and information source for infection related issues in patients.

Dr. Arora is the Chairperson, Infection Control Committee at Escorts, and is responsible for tracking and analyzing HAI data. She is also involved in an administrative capacity, where she supervises residents and microbiology laboratory staff, monitoring the work guidelines of the Central Supply Department to ensure continuous sterile techniques and supply. She also supervises and monitors all activities of the Quality Team.

Dr. Arora is the Secretary, Hospital Infection Society of India (HISI). She is also the Internal Auditor for ISO, NABH. She is also the assessor at the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH).

Dr. Arora is a Member of the Healthcare Worker Safety Advisory Board in India dealing with safety related to Needlestick Injury and Bloodborne Body Fluid Exposure (working with EPINET).
